Christian Education / Sunday School:

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’."  (Matthew 19:14)

Children are an important part of our community at All Saints Cathedral. We offer a Nursery program where pre-school age children are welcome to gather for all or part of our 10:30 am Sunday worship. Currently located in St. Stephen’s Chapel at the front right of the Cathedral, children learn a sense of belonging through play time and structured activities as their age level allows. A playpen is available for tiny tots.

We currently offer a Jr. and Sr. Sunday School program as well. These groups gather, following the children’s time at the beginning of the 10:30 service, in rooms located off the chancel. As lesson time allows, our young people return at the time of Communion to be with their families.

The Primates World Relief and Development Fund, the international outreach program of the Anglican Church, was quick to respond to the earthquake and tsunami which devastated the northeast region of Japan on March 11, 2011. Along with financial assistance it is equally important that the plight of the Japanese, who are now struggling to rebuild their lives and communities, not become a "back page" news item. Decorating the Cathedral are more than 1000 cranes, symbols of hope. These cranes have been lovingly created by members of all ages of the Cathedral community, a visible reminder of our hopes and prayers for Japan.
