Saints Alive

This relatively new group welcomes all, women and men, as it seeks to offer a fellowship of prayer, study, and hospitality once a month (usually the 2nd Wednesday of the month; 2 – 4 pm; at the Cathedral).

The conceptual framework for the devotion and program components is drawn from several sources: The Mission and Vision of the Anglican Church of Canada (A people seeking to know, love, and follow Jesus in serving God’s mission); the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (To participate in God’s mission of reconciling the world to God through Jesus Christ and to create and sustain Christ-centered, mission-minded, ministering communities of faith);and the Cathedral Church of All Saints (Where strangers become friends, where Christ’s peace and justice are sought, where God is worshipped with heart, hand and voice); as well as the Purpose of the Anglican Church Women Nova Scotia Board. Just as the latter aims to bring women together in a “fellowship of worship, study, and offering, with the aim of deepening and strengthening their individual spiritual lives and of awakening a greater desire for Christian service in the parish, community, and the world”, so, too, does this new Day Time Anglican Church Women Group, only the opportunity for growth, development, and service is open to both women and men.  

Guest presenters from the Cathedral congregation and beyond are featured at each meeting for both the devotional and program components of the gathering.

The theme for the Anglican Church Women Day Time Group for 2010/11 is drawn from the Anglican Church Women hymn, The Love of Jesus Calls Us.
