After a very successful Say Yes! to Kids partnership with the Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC) in 2022, the Cathedral Church of All Saints will once again Say Yes! to Kids—this time, we are asking parishioners and friends to join our Fun & Games campaign in support of refugee children.
The Cathedral Church has a long history of working with and supporting refugee families. An area of need identified by our new diocesan Refugee Sponsorship Coordinator and Cathedral Church parishioner, Sarah Cooper, is that funds for refugee sponsorship cover only the very basic needs of living. There are precious few resources to enable these young newcomers to take part in meaningful extra-curricular activities and sports.
The Cathedral Church’s Fun & Games campaign will raise funds to enable refugee children to thrive and access the kinds of extra-curricular opportunities—be it sports or music—that so many Canadian children participate in.
The allocation of funding will be flexible, and family centred. Together, we believe we can provide funding throughout the 2023-2024 academic year for up to 15 children.
Our Cathedral Church community is compassionate and generous. Thank you for continuing your generosity through your support of this year’s Fun & Games campaign to ensure that more of refugee children benefit from enriching opportunities to just be children.
Please give generously to this year’s Say Yes! to Kids campaign.
