A ROSE IN WINTER

A celebration of Christmas in song and story

Please note that this date is ALMOST SOLD OUT. Some tickets have been released for seating in the Great Choir area. These seats are behind the choir.

The Choir of All Saints Cathedral, directed by Paul Halley with guest, Old Man Luedecke

You have two opportunities to enjoy this festive musical presentation:

Saturday, December 10, at 4:00 PM at St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg

Sunday, December 11, at 4:00 PM at The Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax

Old Man Luedecke will reprise his 2019 appearance in the genial role of narrator. Old Man Luedecke is a two-time Juno Award-winning Nova Scotian singer-songwriter who beautifully delivers narrative-driven folk songs with a storyteller's heart.

Programming this unique concert format of carols and readings is a creative collaboration
between the narrator, music director Paul Halley, and the choir. The selection of music and readings, song and story, relate to each other in lovely and subtle or humorous and entertaining ways. The mutual respect between guest and artists onstage is palpable, bringing delight to the audience and signaling an invitation to participate in the joy that is being created before them – to join in and sing some carols, to laugh, to sigh, all while absorbing the magic of this unique performance.
