The Introit is Bruckner’s “Locus Iste”, one of his most popular choral works. The Canticles
were composed by Herbert Howells for the choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral, taking advantage
of the Wren building’s world‒famous acoustics. The Anthem is Sumsion’s remarkable
setting of verses from Psalm 107, “They That Go Down to the Sea in Ships”, which was
written in 1979 for Dennis Kiddy and the Choir of Repton Preparatory School.
